What riders say about the ENGWE M20

150 km is not marketing. I start at 10, close orders across Mokotów and Praga until 10 pm, and the second battery is still half full. Charging only happens overnight.

Mykhailo K.
Courier, Warsaw

My back used to flare up after a shift on a rigid frame. With the hydraulic front fork and rear air shock I literally forgot what Rynek cobbles feel like.

Courier, Wroclaw

46 kg with both batteries is real. A 4th-floor walk-up is out. I have a courtyard with parking, so it works; I wouldn't leave it on the street though.

R
Roman B.
Courier, Warsaw

Gave a coworker a lift to the metro on the rear seat — the frame holds two without flexing. It's a serious build, not a bicycle.

Courier, Lodz

The dual headlights save you in winter Krakow when it's dark by 4 pm. Reach far ahead, and drivers actually see me from the sides too.

Frequently asked questions about the ENGWE M20

Do I need a licence and registration in Poland?
In 25 km/h pedal-assist mode with no throttle, the M20 is legally a bicycle — no licence required. Unlock the throttle and 45 km/h and it becomes an L1e-B moped, which Poland requires you to register and hold an AM licence for. For courier work we hand it over in EU mode.
How does the dual battery work?
Two 48 V 13 Ah packs run in parallel. They drain evenly; you can pop one out and swap in a spare. Each pack charges in 5–6 hours from a standard socket.
What's the real-world city range?
Mixed PAS 3–4 with a passenger and delivery bag — 110–130 km. Below 0 °C drop 20–25%. In warm weather both batteries push to a real 150 km.
Can I take a passenger?
Yes, the frame and two-up bench are rated for two. Total payload — up to 120 kg per spec sheet.
How much does it weigh?
About 46 kg with both batteries (35 kg without). Carrying it up to a 4th-floor walk-up is awkward — best for ground-floor flats, garages or courtyard parking.
Is it rain-proof?
Yes, rated IPX4. Daily rain commuting is fine — just don't leave it outdoors all night in a downpour.
