Frequently asked questions about the Kross Soil Boost 2.0
Is the Kross Soil Boost 2.0 a good fit for courier work?
Not the best fit. It is a 25 kg full-suspension e-MTB on aggressive WTB Trail Boss 2.6" tyres — they hum on tarmac and the bike is heavy to lug up a stairwell. For daily delivery shifts our lighter Funbike or Duotts with proper racks make more sense. If you still want the Soil Boost for work, ask the manager and we will mount a rack.
What is the real-world range?
Officially up to 90 km. In practice: 60–70 km on Trail/Boost over Kampinos forest tracks or Beskidy trails, 80–90 km on tarmac in Eco. At -5 °C in winter expect around 50 km — normal behaviour for any lithium-ion pack.
What documents do I need? Any licence?
A passport or a karta pobytu. No driving licence required — under Polish and EU road law a pedelec assisted up to 25 km/h counts as a regular bicycle.
Can I take it outside Poland?
Yes, anywhere within the EU after coordinating with the manager — the bike is insured across the Schengen area. Ukraine is unfortunately not covered by the policy.
How does maintenance and breakdown cover work?
Scheduled servicing, suspension setup, Shimano EP800 motor checks and brake-pad swaps are on us. If something breaks, the 24/7 hotline brings a replacement within the hour. Crash damage and punctures are billed separately.
How long does the 630 Wh battery take to charge?
Roughly 4.5 hours from the supplied 36V/4A charger. The pack is removable — charge it indoors without dragging the whole bike up to your flat.
Which assist modes does it have and what does the display show?
Three pedal-assist levels — Eco, Trail and Boost — plus Walk Assist for pushing it alongside you. The Shimano SC-EM800 display reads out speed, mode, remaining battery and trip distance.
What is included with the bike?
A helmet, off-road gloves, the 36V/4A charger, a U-lock and a short display manual. On request we add a courier rack or a saddle bag.
